The biggest influence on how much a custom kitchen costs is the size of the kitchen and the type of materials used to create it.
The factors that shape the price of custom-made kitchen furniture are very diverse, and it is difficult for us to compare the offers even from two companies, because they may differ in the technique of manufacturing individual elements or the equipment used to produce them.
It is important to start by noting that the entire process of creating custom kitchen furniture is completely different from furniture available in so-called chain stores.
It is worth noting that to calculate the cost of a custom kitchen properly, it is necessary to establish all of the client’s expectations and requirements. First of all, starting with the material from which the kitchen fronts, countertop, or types of used handles will be made. Many variables contribute to the price.
The first factor influencing the cost of a custom kitchen is its size. Furthermore, the larger the kitchen, the more furniture will be needed for the installation. Upper and lower cabinets, kitchen island, shelves – we undeniably have to take all of this into account when calculating costs.
In the case of larger kitchens, the cost of the entire project will usually be higher, because the designer spends more time properly planning the space in your kitchen.
The next factor that influences how much a custom kitchen costs is the type of built-in unit. You can choose between lower, upper, or a combination of both units. Furthermore, the lower built-in unit is usually more expensive, as it additionally requires a larger amount of materials and is more complex to manufacture.
It is necessary to use durable materials and more advanced opening and closing systems.
There are many systems used in cabinets that greatly facilitate the use of the kitchen. Systems such as soft closing, pull-out baskets, internal organizers, and many other additions affect the price of a custom kitchen.
The more advanced and functional the systems applied, the higher the final cost of the kitchen will be for us.
Drawers are an important element of every kitchen, providing a practical place for storing and organizing dishes, cutlery, pots, and other accessories. Additionally, you can opt for drawers with full-extension systems, which allow easy access to the contents.
Furthermore, internal organizers, such as cutlery baskets, dish dividers, or spice shelves, can help maintain order and convenient storage of items.
The choice of type of fronts and countertop also affects the cost of a custom kitchen. Cabinet fronts can be made from various materials, such as wood, veneer, laminated board, high-gloss lacquer, etc.
Each of these materials has a different cost, so it is worth carefully considering what style and material of fronts will be most suitable for our kitchen. Similarly, the countertop can be made from various materials, such as granite, wood, stainless steel, or quartz conglomerate. Each of these materials has a different cost, which must be included in the calculations.
Under-cabinet lighting is a popular solution that will provide an additional source of light on our worktop, making it easier to work and prepare meals.
Internal cabinet lighting can also be useful, additionally allowing us better visibility and easier finding of necessary items. High-quality lighting usually comes with higher costs.
Choosing the appropriate method of opening and closing cabinets has a great significance for the convenience of using the kitchen as well as its final price.
There are many options available, such as traditional doors, soft closing systems, handleless or automatic opening using electric mechanisms. Therefore, choose a method that best suits your preferences and lifestyle.
Another factor influencing the cost of the kitchen is undoubtedly the complexity of the project. The more advanced our project is, the higher the cost of the custom kitchen will be.
Choosing more expensive materials, complex spatial solutions, non-standard dimensions – all of this can undoubtedly affect the price of the project. Therefore, it is worth opting for a project tailored to your own needs and financial capabilities.

Clients often expect an answer on how much one linear meter of kitchen costs, but we have so many variables that we are unable to determine even an approximate amount. As a result, only after a detailed discussion about the materials and components used can we provide an approximate cost. It is important to realize that a large part of the final price of the kitchen depends not on the work of the carpenter, but on the materials used to produce our custom kitchen.
Both kitchen fronts and cabinet bodies can be made from various materials, which of course mainly differ in price, and consequently in quality or durability. Accordingly, the most expensive, most resistant, and durable fronts are wooden – oak. A slightly cheaper option is pine wood. Further options include fronts made from oak frame, veneer, and plywood, then MDF + pine frame. Then fronts made from plywood and veneer, and the cheapest option is kitchen fronts made of MDF.
The situation is similar for bodies: the most expensive are oak wooden bodies, followed by plywood + veneer. Pine bodies are cheaper, followed by MDF bodies, and the cheapest are those made from furniture board.
CABINET BODIES:
The prices of countertops differ primarily depending on the material used, but also on the size of the countertop. In the article: KITCHEN COUNTERTOP – what material? We discussed in detail the available types of countertops, their disadvantages, and advantages.
Laminated kitchen countertop, wood, marble, granite, quartz conglomerate, and acrylic conglomerate, porcelain kitchen countertop (quartz composite). Undoubtedly, we have a huge choice, which mainly affects the final price of the furniture and its durability.
Modern drawer guides, furniture with a silent closing system, or a pantry/larder (which can serve as a kitchen pantry) – this is an additional cost worth considering if we want our kitchen to be functional.
We recommend reading the article: KITCHEN SOLUTIONS – practical and functional – where you will learn about the available storage systems, cabinet interiors, and countertop solutions. The choice of fittings also matters, whether it will be Blum, Hafele, or Gtv.

We can only estimate approximately how much a custom kitchen costs, the price ranges from tens to tens of thousands of zloty. As previously mentioned, it depends on so many factors that we can only give the final cost of the kitchen after defining the details regarding the materials used for the custom kitchen.
It is worth keeping in mind that price is not everything and it is not always worth choosing the cheapest solutions, which may be not durable.
The time from project approval to the manufacturing of kitchen furniture is 1-3 months. This depends on the amount of work we have at any given time and the waiting time for components needed for furniture production.
To summarize, the cost of every kitchen is calculated individually. It is certainly not possible to provide a price per linear meter of built-in furniture, as many factors influence this. Therefore, in order to state how much a custom kitchen costs, we must create a preliminary design, from which we will know the quantity of cabinets, drawers, accessories, or selected lighting.
